About The Good Engineers

The Good Engineers blog is my new Jorney of contributing back to the community of software engineers who helped me a lot in many ways to become who I am.

After spending more than 18 years in the journey of becoming good engineering and helping others with the same, now is the time to share the thoughts related to good software engineering and the good engineers!

I choose the title The Good Engineers because I’m not alone now in this journey. I have a team, friends, and entire community who belongs or want to be part of the The Good Engineers.

About me

I completed my Computer Engineering in 2006 and decided to become a good software engineer. So, I was interested in answering my question, “How to become a good software engineer?”

After working with startups and a CMMi level-3 company, when I joined another startup in 2012 as a Tech Lead, I realized being good software engineer is not a destination but a journey.

Since 2012, I started asking many Seniors and Collegues about their definition of good engineer and tried to answer the same question when asked by my Juniors.

It’s been more than 15 years since then, but I’m still on my way.

Stackoverflow.com says I’m in the top 7% of contributors there, thanks to DotNetNuke CMS. During 2007 to 2009, I answered around 90 questions there and wrote 69 blog articles. DotNetNuke’s official newsletters highlighted some of the blog articles. I also published open source DotNetNuke Skins (template) on codeplex.

From 2012 until 2014, I was active in Microsoft SharePoint and played roles like Tech Lead, Team Lead, Engineering Manager etc.

From 2014 till now, I’m playing roles like Managing Director, Founder, CEO.

My journey of becoming a good software engineers is still on.

These days, I’m Founder and CEO of Facile Technolab where we build innovative products and provide excellent services to the clients across the world.
